For this position, we’re specifically seeking a Federal AV Design Engineer level III or IV. The ideal candidate is someone with experience designing complex Audio-Visual Systems for the Federal Government as well as those serving the Federal Government including contractors and prime contract holders.

- Experience working with Federal Government clients
- Experience working with Federal Government Prime Contract holders (those responsible for contract vehicles)
- Experience working with Federal Contractors (those who provide products and services to Federal Government)
- Experience working with Federal National Laboratories (those leading scientific research and development)
- Experience working with classified networks and their cyber security
- Experience working with FedRAMP and/or M365 Government Impact Levels
Beneficial Attributes:
- Previous or current security clearances
- Ability to lead groups and communicate effectively to upper echelon personas
- CompTIA, CCNA/CCNP, MCSA or other related industry IT certifications
- CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, or other related AV industry certifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, electronics, audiovisual, or related field
What you will primarily be doing in this role:
- Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions
- Complete documentation with a high degree of quality that follows Technical Services Standards
- Provide services including CAD drawings (flows, plans, elevations, details), system descriptions, equipment research, selection, custom product design and system integration.
- Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options
- Provide rough order of magnitude pricing and development plans for clients
- Design audiovisual systems of various hardware and software components that work together as one integrated system and that meet customer’s specific needs
- Build quotes and bills of materials for client proposals
- Support projects and our team throughout the implementation process
Willingness to:
- Work with State and Local Government clients when needed
- Wear multiple hats at times when sales, project, or field engineering is needed
- Travel for site surveys and/or to assist branches or partners with system commissioning
Requirements to Assure Success:
- 5+ years of Design Engineering experience is preferred
- Prior experience in the service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems
- Knowledgeable of control systems (Crestron, QSC, Extron, AMX) and DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, ClearOne, BSS)
- Ability to prepare, understand, and interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings
- Knowledge of project financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the design and management of projects is essential
- Ability to read engineering schematics and communicate design intent
