What You Will Be Doing:
Support end users with the functionality and business need utilizing our business applications including, but not limited to, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Service Management (ESM), and Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Primary responsibility will be supporting end-user transactions in the multiple Business Applications. The Support Specialist will need to build a strong understanding of the end-to-end business processes, across departments, along with the technical aspects of the Business Applications for success in this role. In addition to working with the system end-users, the Support Specialist will also work directly with business process owners, software administrators, software developers, and other application subject matter experts. The Support Specialist will be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert, across departments and functions, for the business applications. This role will include taking part in the design of process changes that come out of end-user questions and requests. The Support Specialist will also work with the Applications team with testing, training, and documentation needs.
What You Bring to Assure Success:
- Have an interest in software applications and how they impact the users and the business
- Be able to work independently without frequent direction to make sound decisions
- Ability to learn and become proficient with unfamiliar technologies or applications
- Possess basic project management skills such as identifying required tasks, evaluating progress and communicating status to manager
- Familiar with ERP concepts and principles, accepted business practices, and problem analysis
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals
- Understanding of accounting processes as it relates to purchase order and invoice processing is a plus
- Understanding of database structures and SQL programming a plus
