The Billing Specialist duties include:
- Process all customer related invoice documents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage complex projects with nonstandard billing requirements
- Create project reconciliations for both internal and external contacts, as requested
- Research and resolve any billing discrepancies including timely communication
- Analyze WIP report monthly to determine project invoicing
- Responsible for all collection activities of complex and AIA billings
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years previous experience with high volume & complex invoicing
- Proficient with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- The ability to work independently and recognize when to escalate issues
- Understand the financial impact of project over and under billings
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the following:
- EDI portals
- AIA billings
- Customer collections
- WIP reports, including project billing and/or project accounting
- Q360 ERP
- Pemsoft AIA software
