For Pro AV folks, the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show is more than an annual tech adventure. It’s a glimpse into the future of how people will work in the future – and a chance to experience the solutions that will shape organizations for years to come.
From AI-powered collaboration to smart building technologies, technology providers used their presence at ISE 2025 to announce a ton of new offerings. But how do newly created solutions translate into tangible benefits for technology, facilities and workplace leaders? And how can understanding what’s available help you create more engaging workspaces – and equally important – help you optimize your workplace technology investments?
This post breaks down the most impactful trends we saw at ISE 2025 and we also explain why they matter.
Advanced Display Technologies
The first clear trend at ISE 2025 was advanced display technologies. Not only are displays getting bigger, brighter, and smarter, but they’re also taking on new shapes:
- New curved and transparent displays from One Display Limited and LED Studio offer revolutionary and flexible design possibilities for retail, corporate, and practically any high-end setting.
Micro LED took center stage with manufacturers like LG pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of image quality, scalability, and efficiency.
- Narrow pixel pitch LED displays continue to improve, offering stunning detail even at close range.
- Laser projection also saw advancements, with higher brightness and improved color accuracy, solidifying its place in large venues.
Beyond the hardware, display processing became increasingly sophisticated, enhancing image quality and enabling more intelligent control and integration with other systems.
Why it matters: These advanced display technologies create more engaging experiences for everyone, from employees collaborating in the office to customers interacting with your brand. In turn, this allows you to communicate more effectively and build stronger connections with your audiences.
There’s a financial impact, too. As newer technologies become more prevalent, the cost of existing solutions often decreases, making high-quality visuals more accessible. Plus, the enhanced efficiency and longevity of these new displays can lead to long-term cost savings.
Immersive and Experiential Technologies
Another category that caught our attention is the growing number of AR/VR/XR, projection mapping, and interactive installations. There were more haptics, spatial audio and other technologies that delivered truly immersive experiences. For example:
- Exhibitors like L-Acoustics showcased enveloping solutions designed to enhance sound quality and create unique auditory experiences
- POET Software shared its new lighting design software for immersive experiences
- Barco demonstrated its immersive experience using I600 and G62 Laser projector mapping
Why it matters: These technologies can foster deeper understanding, spark creativity, and enable remote collaboration in entirely new ways, ultimately leading to improved communication, increased productivity, and a stronger competitive edge.
As these technologies mature, they're becoming more accessible and cost-effective, offering a compelling ROI for organizations looking to innovate and differentiate.
Smart Building Technologies
Integrating smart technologies in buildings was a significant focus, with advancements in automation, energy efficiency, and intelligent control systems highlighted – in the ISE 2025 Smart Building Technology Zone. Several manufacturers also explored the role of IoT sensors and data analytics in optimizing building performance.
- KNX demonstrated a comprehensive ecosystem designed to simplify smart building deployments including AV over IP, AI and cloud solutions
- Cisco shared its solutions for convergence and security using high-power over ethernet technologies delivering 90 watts per port
- And in the Jung booth, the manufacturer showed its building automation solutions enabling organizations to integrate smart devices and conventional devices
Why it matters: Smart building technologies can automate everyday operations and streamline building management. Plus, with insightful data on how your spaces are actually used, you can fine-tune your workspace design to support your team's needs and boost their productivity.
Artificial Intelligence Integration
Brian Solis, a renowned digital analyst and futurist, delivered a compelling opening keynote at ISE 2025, focusing on the transformative power of AI in the pro AV and systems integration industry. And there was evidence of this in every corner of the show floor.
AI-powered solutions – particularly in video conferencing and workspace optimization – are enhancing productivity and user experience in various environments. For example:
- Personalization: Solution providers like Lenovo now offer its Smart Docs solution for BYOD as well as AI driven multi-camera technologies to create better employee experiences and enhance productivity
- Automation: AI features such as Navori Labs new AI-powered signage solution includes technology that allows displays to be managed by external data feeds.
- User experience: Voice control and other AI-powered features such as Vizrt’s new TriCaster Vizion offering make AV systems easier and more intuitive to use.
Why it matters: AI analytics can provide valuable insights into how AV systems are being used, allowing organizations to optimize their technology investments and improve their ROI.
Broadcast Capabilities
As Commercial Integrator noted in their ISE 2025 recap, broadcast AV was also a hot topic at this year’s show. This is partly because “everyone and every organization strives to be a storyteller and content creator.”
Whether delivering an all-hands call, teaching a lecture or holding a live fundraising event, high-quality video and audio are critical. Some of the most innovative solutions at this year’s show include:
- EasyTools new modular video streaming solutions
- New advanced PTZ and studio cameras, cloud solutions for remote workflows, and AI-driven technologies for enhanced live editing from Sony Professional
- The new ethernet switch 360P from Blackmagic designed for broadcast allows the ability to move video signals over ethernet.
Why it matters: When organizations share their content in more compelling ways, it does more than enhance their image. Companies attract more customers. Schools attract more students. Causes attract more donors. And that translates to the bottom line.
